There have been four occasions she was awarded the title of winner in the World Cup overall competition. She is among the most famous athletes in American time. She is among only six female athletes who won all five alpine skiing World Cup events. In total, she's won more than 80 World Cup titles. She is among the top skiers in the world and the most popular American ski racer has decided to retire following the World Championship which will take place in Sweden. The athlete retired following a lengthy list of health issues. The former World Cup overall champion announced her retirement via social media.
