Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American Canadian singer and songwriter. There are more than 20 albums that have been released by her. DiFranco has released over 20 albums. Ani Difranco is believed as a feminist icon as well as a Grammy award winner. As one of first female artists in the 1990s, DiFranco founded her own record label. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23rd of 1970, she was the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco The couple had met while attending an institution called the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mother hails from Montreal as is her father, who is Italian descent. Ani Difrasco wrote and recorded the hit song "32 Flavors". The track is available on the album Not a Pretty Girl by Ani DiFranco, which was released in the year 1996. This track appears on the film soundtrack for the Canadian romance film Better Than Chocolate from 1999. DiFranco apologized for holding a conference in Louisiana on an old plantation for slaves. It was called off, but many (including the newspaper) didn't think it was a sign of regret. DiFranco issued a further apology days later. She is known for her Little Folksinger style, but she's collaborated with many music genres, from Pete Seeger to Chuck D. The singer lives in New Orleans. Ani DiFranco is with Kristen Ford. At the age of 14, she had begun writing her songs. She sang them in coffee shops and bars throughout her teens. DiFranco went to Buffalo State College after graduating at the age of 16 from Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts. Ani's custom Alvarez baritone came about after numerous consultations with Chrys Johnson who was the representative of artist for Alvarez. It has their System 600 preamp and has the entire solid woods: a cedar top mahogany back and sides and an Ebony fretboard. The couple lives with their two kids in New Orleans and Lefty, their dog with long legs that is never out of the frame. DiFranco is admitting that, more than three decades after her initial appearance in music, she still feels mixed when she looks at her past. Singer-songwriter and punk/folk musician Ani DiFranco ascended to musical hero status at the age of 25 with both the public and critics with her seventh release Not A Pretty Girl in 1995. She then had even more acclaim and popularity with Dilate in 1996. The song, a pop rock hit from 1972 (You're a beautiful girl) was written by the American band Looking Glass for their debut album Looking Glass.
