Lita Rossana Ford or Lita Ford as she is popularly known as was an American born British singer and guitarist who led the female-only hard-rock group The Runaways during the late 1970s. Although the band was not successful within the United States, it gained enormous popularity overseas. After the band split in 1979, Ford embarked upon a successful solo career in the world of heavy metal. Her debut solo album was 'Dancin' On the Edge which was followed by her Album Out for Blood. Ford disappeared from rock for several years after the albums did not gain much popularity. Her smashing hit, 'Lita came out in 1989. Kiss Me Deadly (single) as well as Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were her most popular songs. Unfortunately her popularity was only temporary, and she was gone for a couple of years. The resurgence of her career came with release of "Black" from 1995 as well as "Wicked Wonderland", almost 15 years after. The year was 2016, and her most recent album, 'Time Capsule, was released. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
